MOLYKOTE® D-7409-NEP EC Anti-Friction Coating is a premium quality, heat-cured dry lubricant with high load-bearing capacity due to its unique resin selection. MOLYKOTE® D-7409-NEP EC AFC contains an organic solvent with a high evaporation rate and solid particles of graphite and molybdenum disulfide (MOS2), which provide high resistance to wear, extreme temperatures and the presence of solvents.

How to use

Surface preparation

Carefully clean and degrease the surface that will be covered with Anti-Slip Coating.

Recommended pre-treatments: phosphating or sandblasting (180 grit); both pre-treatments enhance the durability and life of the Coating.

How to apply

Stir the Anti-Corrosion Coating thoroughly before and during use, and apply by spraying (air pressure 3 to 5 bar [45 to 75 psi]), dipping, spinning or brushing. The surfaces should be covered as evenly as possible.

Recommended dry film thickness: 3 to 20 μm.

The product thus applied should be hardened at a temperature of 150-220°C.

Coverage

When applied to a 10 μm dry film thickness, Molykote ® D-7409 Anti-Friction Coating has an average efficiency of 16 m2 / kg (this value does not take into account losses generated during the application process).

Dilution

The recommended thinner is Molykote® 7415.

Hardening

Typical curing conditions are: 30 minutes at 220°C
