Shell Gadus S2 V220 is a high quality, multi-purpose grease based on mineral oil with a high viscosity index. It contains anti-wear and other additives to ensure a wide range of applications.

Application

Shell Gadus S2 V220 grease is a universal grease for the lubrication of rolling and plain bearings, joints and sliding surfaces, which can be found in many industrial and transport applications

Shell Gadus S2 V220 0 is intended for use in:

  • rolling mills where it is necessary to use soft grease in specialized dosing systems
  • highly loaded rolling and plain bearings operating under harsh conditions, including shock conditions occurring in humid working environments.
  • It can be used to lubricate components in mobile devices as well as in some central lubrication systems. When used in central lubrication systems, operating temperatures should be determined depending on the characteristics of the system.

Shell Gadus S2 V220 1 is intended for use in:

  • highly loaded bearings lubricated by central lubrication systems.
  • When the use of anti-wear grease is required for normal bearing operating temperatures.
  • Heavily loaded rolling and plain bearings operating under harsh conditions, including shock conditions occurring in humid working environments.
  • For lubrication of devices operating at low temperatures.

Shell Gadus S2 V220 2 is intended for use in:

  • Heavily loaded bearings and general industrial applications.
  • Rolling and plain bearings operating under severe conditions, including shock conditions in a humid environment.

      Shell Gadus S2 V220 contains specially selected anti-wear additives that maintain the lubrication film even under high or shock load conditions.
    • Improved mechanical stability
      This property is particularly important in the presence of vibrations, where poor mechanical resistance of the grease may cause loss of lubricating properties and leakage.
    • Good resistance to water washout
      Shell Gadus S2 V220 greases are resistant to water washout.
    • Oxidation stability
      Specially selected fractions of the base oil provide excellent resistance to oxidation. Their consistency does not change during storage and they are able to work at high temperatures without hardening or creating deposits.
    • Corrosion resistance
      Shell Gadus S2 V200 greases reliably protect bearing surfaces against corrosion, even in the presence of large amounts of water.

      Occupational safety and environmental protection

      Shell Gadus S2 V220 does not pose a direct health hazard when used correctly for its intended purpose and in accordance with personal and industrial hygiene. Avoid contact with skin. Use protective gloves. In case of contact with skin, wash off oil with soap and water.

      • Rubber parts of hydraulic brakes

      Grease must not come into contact with the rubber components of hydraulic brakes.

      Environmental protection

      Used oil should be taken to an authorised waste disposal company with the appropriate permits.
      Do not discharge into soil, surface water or sewage system.
